Peace Ambassadors, Bubble Activism

From the desk of Majken Zein Sorensen
Hi there,
“They marched toward Moscow during the Cold War. They were prepared to risk arrest. They never stopped believing peace was possible.
Now, at 88 years old, Erni and Ola Friholt are still living their convictions on the Swedish island of Orust — where they founded a Peace Café, turned their home into an embassy for nonviolence, and spent more than four decades working for disarmament and ecological responsibility.
In the Swedish documentary, The Peace Ambassadors, their story unfolds from childhood memories of war in Austria to mass peace marches across Europe. Guided by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, they argue that environmental sustainability and peace are inseparable — and that change begins with ordinary people.
I recommend you spend 20 minutes watching this lovely and powerful documentary in all its gentleness. So inspiring.

The Power of Positive

Here’s an idea:
Google “[a positive word, e.g. ‘wonderful’] + synonyms”.
Read through the list of words that turn up on your screen.
Take them in.
Slowly.
Word by word.
Write them down.
Take a screenshot.
(Or a print).
Shower yourself with these positive words every day for a week.
How does it make you feel?
Repeat whenever you need it.
Until next time,
Majken xx

On my blog I share ‘Things that Inspire Me These Days’
which basically are:
things that make me feel alive and vibrant,
and things that fill me with hope,
things that make me wonder,
and things that calm me down,
things that get me in a curious and creative mode,
and things that put a big fat smile on my face.
I believe I need all that.
Perhaps you need it too?
